UES - Energy Smart Homes Program

September 30, 2009

Summary

Unisource Energy Services (UES) provides a financial incentive for customers in all of its service territories, UNSG natural gas customers in Northern Arizona and UNSE Electric customers in Western Arizona and Southern Arizona. This program is targeted to customers that are building EPA Energy Star certified new homes. UES will provide a $400 direct incentive for homes that are Energy Star Certified by a RESNET accredited HERS Rater. The incentive is issued to the party (i.e., builder, developer, homeowner, architect/designer) that contracts with the HERS Rater. Certified USGBC LEED Residential Homes likewise undergo HERS building plan analysis and on-site verification. Both Energy Star and LEED Homes are eligible for the UES Energy Smart Homes Program incentive.
